If a Captivate project is published as a Stand Alone Zip, can the zip file be opened by a Mac user?

Most Mac users have StuffItExpander, which is a utility that opens pretty much every type of file extension.

Your users shouldn't have a problem, just as long as there is no EXE file within the ZIP.

Hope this helps.

Since it is a Stand Alone project it would be an EXE file. Sounds like that means that the EXE would NOT be openable on a Mac?

Correct jay fresno. Macs do not recognize EXE files.

In earlier versions of Captivate they had the option for a hzx (I think that was the name) file, which was "like" an exe, but today, there is no option.

Michael,
Thanks for confirming. Too bad Captivate dropped the HXZ format for Mac.

Hi all

While I'm nowhere even neophyte status when it comes to Macs, the output was actually .HQX for Mac.
(I just looked to see from a Captivate 1 and 2 output for Mac)

Cheers all... Rick
