I just downloaded Captivate, so I am on the 12.6 version. When it first opens, the Start Screen seems to be messing up. The menu bar (minimize and close button) is missing from the top screen and I can't drag and move the window around. My co-worker has the 12.4 version and she has the buttons and can move her screen. The attached image is from her computer and I have arrows pointing the area that is missing from mine.
The only reason I can think of that would explain why you cannot see the minimise and close buttons is that your current Windows display settings may not be showing the entire Captivate interface and cutting off the top to prevent your access to those controls.
What is your current Display Resolution (e.g. 1920 x 1080) and what is your current Scale percentage (e.g. 100% or 125% or 150%)? If the scale percentage is above 100%, try reducing it to 100%.

Wow! Thank you so much Rod. That worked. I've talked to several people and even my IT guy tried uninstalling and reinstalling the progroam several times and nobody thought of that. I had my monitor size on 150% because it's kind of small. I changed it back to the recommended 125% and I can drag the window around and the mimimize and close button are showing. The grey border is so thick around it, I had no idea it was cutting it off.

Glad I could help. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best.
