Stopping a recording

I'm not able to stop my screen recordings. Command + enter doesn't work, so I tried changing the keyboard shortcut to something else but it still doesn't work. I read that a few people have had this problem but haven't read any definitive solutions yet. It means that every time I try it, I have to just shut down my entire mac just to get it to stop. I'm using the Captivate 2019 free trial on a MacBook Pro. Can anyone help please?

Correct answer Eric Dumas

You will notice the Captivate icon on the top right of you screen while recording.

It will add an extra slide (clicking on the icon) that you can delete.

I'm  a 'Windows user. An alternative on that OS is to click the Application icon which launched Captivate and sits in the taskbar. Do you have something similar. There are very few Mac users around on the forum to help.
