TEB

Hi guys. I'm trying to use a simple TEB, controlled by a Text Button which has been set to have a keyboard shortcut (Enter). It works in preview, but not after publishing. I've monitored the following.

1. I select the text button

2. I select Shortcut, and Enter in the field

3. I deselect 'Allow mouse click'.

If I then click on the slide, then back on the button again, the settings have not been retained, and no shortcut selected......

Any help appreciated. Robbie

    Correct answer Lilybiri

Your question is not totally clear to me. What is the function of the Text button, since the Text Entry Box already has its associated 'Submit' button? The TEB is an interactive object, has the possibility to replace or add to th Submit button a shortcut key, which is by default 'Enter'. Do you perhaps have now used twice the same shortcut key on one slide?

Thanks Lilybiri. I insert a Text Entry Box and add a failure caption for validation. So, as a unit, I have the text entry box (validated), a failure caption, and the text button (labelled submit but I have removed the text and made it transparent). No other controls on the slide. I suspect that you are correct in that I have created a clash between to 2 shortcuts. Its been a long day, thanks for your help as always.

No problem. Sometimes asking about the issue helps already.
