Hello,

Is there any way to make the text in a text entry box align to the top?

Insert the variable, associated with either the TEB or the interaction, in a text container. Use the X-button in the Character part of the Properties panel of the text container (shape or caption).

Not possible AFAIK. Did you try to use the Scrolling Text interaction as an alternative? You can use it to have a user enter text when you uncheck 'Read only'. The content can be stored in a variable. However it is a static widget, which means you cannot attach a score or define a correct answer out of the box.

What would your recommended way of bringing the text typed in back into the course on another slide?

I'm going to sound dense here, so apologies.  What is a "text container" and how do I create one?  Once I have that, how do I insert the variable into it?  Thanks!

There are two objects that can contain text: a text caption or a shape. I use the term 'text container' because you can use either of them.

Go into edit mode in the container by using F2 or double clicking in it. In the Character part of the Properties panel you'll see 3 buttons: the first on is the ampersand '&' which allows to enter a symbol. The second one is a , which is the button you have to click to insert a variable.
