That Captivate "start up screen" with six giant icons

When Captivate first starts up it shows six big icons.

How can I clear the six icons showing various files I "recently" worked on?

This is kind of an inaccurate display of "recent" files.

    That is the Welcome screen. Why do you need to clear the recent files buttons, just switch to New and you'll not see them anymore. Maybe Clearing the Preferences will clear that screen, but it will mean that you'll lose other customisation as well.
