Timeline widget with open nodes

Hello everybody. I'm using the new captivate. I have a slide with a timeline widget with 4 nodes, I need to show the first two nodes already open on the slide enter. Is it possibile? I cannot find any setting and I tried with javascript but i couldn't find a way.

The 'widgets' are closed plugins and you are limited to the offered editing possibilities. That has always been the case also in previous versions. Just one exceptio: when the first widgets appeared many years ago, those included with Captivate did offer the source code and that made it very easy to tweak them. However that has ended very soonly. This New Captivate is no exception.

BTW: always offer the full version number, because there is a lot of differences between the 3 releases yet of this version. You find the full version number under Help, About Captivate.

If this was one of the Classic versions, it would also be easier to create a custom timeline yourself, since you seem to have JS skills (although advanced/shared actions could have done it as well). This new version in its present state is meant mainly for newbies and very quick creation, not for advanced users.

Hi Lilybiri, thanks for your reply. I'm currently using the 12.3 version. I used the classic version in my previous projects but for this one I would try the new one because it seemed better for responsive projects and for a more modern graphic design but it has a lot of limits with actions 😞

I will try to recreate something similar to a timeline with the other components if there is any possibility to change settings... thanks for your help.

Sure about the responsive projects, but it is still so limited for advanced tweaking that my clients switch to another tool or stay with version 11.5.5.553.
