Training still shows "in progress"

Hi,

We use Cornerstone as our LMS.

I use Captivate 6 and have created multiple e-learning courses to launch company-wide (and some only department-wide) within the last year. An issue started recently, about 2 months ago, where some people are sending me screenshots of their last page of the training to show that they have completed the training but their Cornerstone transcript remains "in progress." (see screenshot of the last page below). And there is no way for them to skip around and get to the last page because the Next button only appears at the end of each slide duration they can't just click through until the button appears.

What's wierd is that it only happens to a few people, the majority of employees are able to finish and have their transcripts be marked complete without any issues. I don't know what I am doing wrong, if the issue was with the way I had the settings in Captivate, then no one would have been able to complete.

Original Publish Preferences in Captivate were with Scorm 1.2, I then tried to change the SCORM to 2004 but the problem still remains. See the current settings below.

Any feedback, thoughts, suggestions on this matter would be truly appreciated.

Thanks.

We noticed a similar problem with our LMS, with several quizzes that had been completed showing as "in progress" for some users, and it seemed to be browser dependent.

Are any of those who are experiencing the erroneous "in progress" message using IE 6 - 8 ?

Making sure the quiz participants are using a modern browser may alleviate the problem.

IE8 is the standard browser used.

What, if anything, did you do differently when you came across this?

After making the switch from SCORM 1.2 to SCORM 2004, the following errors appear. Thoughts?

I'm getting this error as well.  I'm testing courses with Cp 5 and Sum Total 8.8.  If a user passes, the LMS reports correctly.  If a user has to leave the course for any reason, the status is in progress....great.

When that user comes back in and completes the course, they are forever stuck at "in progrress."  What gives?

MC

As it turns out, this was actually a Lotus Notes issue. My projects were opening in the Notes browser window.

I had to change that setting.

Thanks.

Hello NehShah,

Can you check the browser and it's version in those machines where there is this issue of 'in progress'?

Thanks,

Vish

Thanks for responding... this was happening due to SCORM 2004 so I switched it back to SCORM 1.2. The error hasn't occured since.

Thanks.
