Question

Transferring from Articulate to Adobe captivate

Hello: help please! I have developed 17 modules in Articulate. They are expensive and slow to produce. They are expensive to maintain and have access to the LMS. If I take them out, I lose all the work, puff!! it disappears. What would be the advantages financially and staff time, to build the modules in Adobe? is there any way to transfer what I have in Articulate to Adobe, if I could?

There is no option for importing Articulate content into Captivate.  If you need the course in Captivate to replicate all functionality you currently have in Articulate then you would need to redevelop from scratch using all the same image assets and text etc.

If your Articulate course has voiceover and is fairly linear, your COULD potentially just set it up to play and then capture the content as a Video Demo in Captivate and bring that into a CPTX project (as an MP4 video).  However, if your course relies a lot on interactivity, or is a branching scenario, then this strategy would not work.

You can import lot of the assets to the Library in a Captivate project (library is missing in StoryLine). I am talking about images, video, audio, SVG"s. That could speed up the re-creation: drag the assets from the Library to the slides.
