Unable to preview project in HTML5 Browser

New Here ,
May 01, 2017 May 01, 2017

I am a new Captivate 9 user and just recently created my first project. I'm trying to preview my project with the HTML5 in browser option but all I see is the spinning wheel of death. I'm assuming there is something wrong with my project but am unsure of what to look at to fix the issue. Anyone know why I would not be able to view my project in HTML5 browser and what could be the problem?

Hi ,

Hope you have checked the version of Adobe Captivate already and it is updated to 9.0.2.437 .

Also Can you check the behavior in a new blank project as well, If it behaves the same or not if you create a drag and drop interaction in that.

Also try to copy and paste all the slides in a new project and then check the behavior.

Can you check if it behaves the same when you view the content in browser after publishing to HTML5.

Regards

Himanshu

HTML5 content should ideally be viewed from a web server.  Try uploading your content to a web server and view from there in an HTML5 compliant browser.  (Make sure the web server is set up to allow JSON files as well.)

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, my HTML5 project is still not loading. The project has several drag and drop interactions. Do you know if there is a limit to how many drag and drop interactions you can have in a project? I think there is something that I need to fix in my project.

I don't think there is really a limit, but have the D&D slides been set up correctly? All drag sources and drop targets have to be present from the start of the slide, just to mention one of the requirements.

Hi ,

Please make sure that you are using the updated version of Captivate (Go to Help > About Adobe Captivate), it should be 9.0.2.437 .

Also check the user name on your computer, there shouldn't be any special character in your username.

Regards

Himanshu

Thank you for your response. I'm still having issues with my project loading when I publish it as a HTML5.
