Unable to upload SCORM to LMS. Syntax Error

Hi,

When I just tried to upload my latest SCORM file to my LMS, I got the following message: 'SyntaxError Unexpected Token < in JSON at position 0'. When I tried to export the captions, this also failed.

I haven't changed anything drastic in this course since I last uploaded it, apart from adding a few more slides. There are currently 76 slides with 2 interactive quiz slides.

Can anyone give me a clue as to how I can fix this?

Do you mean you loaded the zip file and it won't actually import, or it imports but it won't run?

It would help to see the manifest if it won't load, not all of the assets, just the top lines with the titles and the link to the index_SCORM.html.

I try to load the zip file onto the LMS and then I just got the message. This is all I can see:

I don't know what you mean by the 'manifest'. This is on Talent LMS.

There is a file called imsmanifest.xml that is inside of the zip file. You would need to unzip and look at the contents.

Many errors are very generic so it's hard to tell what's causing it.

Another test would be to get rid of the JSON files in the DR folder, rezip and try to import again. The images won't appear, but you are just checking the import.

Actually, don't worry. I have just realised I don't need to export captions, I can use the options under file-print to create a word document. This seems to be working fine at present but I will let you know if it fails!

Just to confirm, the earlier versions that worked, was that with Captivate version before 9.0.2?

And, the version that is failing, is that with Captivate version after 9.02?
