Hello! I am new to the community, so I am sorry if this questions has already been asked.
What are some work-arounds extract content from a course without the original Captivate file? We only have the SCORM file. I need to essentially remove irrelevant sections for the new training. My preliminary research tells me that I can't edit it, but that I could extract some of the content somehow or some other workaround. The original course has images, voiceover, animations, and screencast video.
Thanks for any tips you can provide!

If the course had only SWF output, it is very difficult to extract assets, which is bit easier with HTML output.
If the course didn't have a lot of interactivity you can just play it and record with Video Demo, but since you are talking about SCORM output I fear that it is not a solution.
Sorry not to be able to offer a better solution.

Thanks @Lilybiri . I believe the only interactive pieces were some basic multiple choice knowledge check questions interspersed between modules. Do you think I could record with video demo and edit those sections out? I am new to Captivate so I appreciate the tips!

Play the non-interactive parts and capture them as mp4 with Video Demo. You can start a cptx project and have the clips on slides, and in between you can insert the quiz slides started from scratch.
