URGENT HELP PLEASE!! While I was editing my NEW project less than an hour ago my Adobe Captivate 9 STOPPED WORKING and NOW It seems that I have LOST everything, I will kill myself in one hour if it won't get restored!

I tried to go to ''My Documents'' then ''Adope Captivate Cashed Projects'' , tied to select everything except ''already_in_use.lock'' to zipp them all, it doesn't want to zipp them! it says (Windows was unable to add one or more empty directions to the Compressed (zipped) Folder'' to rename it to cptx and try to open it again, my Captivate 9 couldn't open the bloody folder

My deadline is less than two hours from now and I swear to GOD I will kill myself if it will be deleted forever, I've been having many difficult months and this was the hair that cuts the bull
It's NOT FAIR that My SOFTWARE CRASHED LIKE THAT! I need someone to chat with me now!

My phone number is: +420 608 678 960

Otherwise I really need a big compensation for this!

Thank you in advance and waiting on FIRE for your respond!

This is the Adobe Captivate User Forum, not Adobe Support.  If you need to talk to someone from Adobe Support then you'll need to look up on the Adobe website what the best phone number would be for you to use from your area.

I take it that you did not have backups turned on and you had not been saving your project regularly?

Were you working on this project from your own computer hard drive, or was the Captivate project file located on a network drive somewhere else?

Hi Mohammed Al-Farra,

Apologize for the inconvenience caused. We are really sorry to hear about the issue you mentioned below. Like RobWard mentioned above if you have turned ON the backups then you can easily open the back file and get your project back.

We can also recover the project using the Project cache file (if something is saved in it). To recover the project from cache please follow the below link (Please do not delete or clear the Cache😞

Recovering the project | eLearning

You can download the Dcache.zip from the following link:  http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/files/2010/09/dcache.zip
