Hi, I created a blank project with a few slides and added in a video demo slide with some screen capture and audio narration. This previews fine when in Captivate but when published to video, the video slides just dsiplay as a blank screen and no audio plays. When I've done this (many times) in the past there have been no issues so why now and what can I do to rectify this issue?

Which version of Captivate do you use at this moment? Please give the full version number which you find under Help, About Captivate.
Did you upload the published output to a webserver for testing? If you want to publish to video, it is a better idea to add everything in the Video Demo editor, than using a cptx-slide with some CPVC-slides. The video will not only be of better quality but the experience will be smoother as well. Have a look at:

2019 release, 11.08.586
We've not had any issues doing it this way previously so why has this happened now?

That is an old version (2018), most recent version is 11.8.1.219. In C°2019 there were 3 main releases: 11.9 (which you are using), 11.5 and 11.8 and lot of patch releases in between. I cannot remember if your version was the latest of 11.0.
Maybe some updates to your OS or Browser causes the present problems?

It could be that this workflow involved FLV conversion before publishing to MP4. With the deprecation of Flash technologies, it's unsurprising that this no longer works. I advise using a proper video editing tool to edit your video elements together. I stopped using Video Demo years ago when I discovered Camtasia. Besides adding webcam capabilities in Adobe Captivate 2019, Video Demo hasn't received a significant update in many years.
