Video getting cut off in Captivate 8 preview

I have tried finding a clear way to delete the video and re add it to the slide, but all of the forum items and help videos I can find show me options for doing this which I do not have in my captivate version. My video is getting cut off at the end in Captivate and I can't figure out why. I've adjusted slide length and that doesn't help. Please tell me why the video is getting cut off and where I can look for *very clear and up to date* video import/insert instructions. My video is MP4 and I see forums claiming that format is fine. I also cannot find a clear explanations of how to convert the video format to FLV.

Is it an 'event' video or a 'slide' video.

For slide video, the timeline definitely has to be the full length of the video, and even a little beyond it to be safe...

For event video, you may be having bandwidth issues. What are the settings? Are you just Previewing or have you actually published and tested online?
