I posted a couple Captivate projects on my website. One runs
fine. The other one runs fine except for the full-motion sequence
it contains. There, I just get a gray screen for a moment, then the
program continues.
Looking in the folder, I see there are 5 files associated with this Captivate program. One of them has not uploaded to the web host, and will not. Perhaps the missing file is creating the problem, since there is no problem when I launch the program from my own desktop. The file is called .DS_Store, and is defined as a DS Store File.
Does anyone know what a DS Store File is, and whether that file is involved in the full motion sequence? Technical support at my web hosting service tells me that no file that starts with a (.) will ever upload. Any suggestions?

These are generated, at least in my experience, by Macs
talking to
non-Macs. Whenever I copy files from my Mac to a shared network drive
(on a PC machine), every folder I open from the Mac gets this .DS STORE
file added. No biggie and shouldn't cause any problems. There's no
Captivate association/requirement - delete/ignore as needed.

Thank you, Erik, that was very helpful. The full-motion
sequence still does not run when the program is launched from my
website (www.learnercentric.net) but at least I don't have to waste
any more time going down that particular rabbit hole to find the
problem. The DS Store File seems to be irrelevant.
