Using Captivate 7. cannot find the editing timeline it was showing only Video, for the System Demo, and now it is gone.

Clicked HIDE (CTRL ALT H) but how do I unhide. Lots of problems, didn't encounter them before when editing.

Is there a reset button?

Can you post a screenshot, because I don't understand quite well what happened. A cpvc-project is one (long) slide, with CTRL-ALT-H you will hide the slide with the video, but the editor will remain, including the window panel and the Big Button Bar? Did you try the big Undo button to make the slide visible again? This screenshot was taken while the slide was hidden:

Must tell that I have no idea why that command is available in a cpvc-project, it has no sense. Hiding slides can be useful in a cptx project, but not in a video demo. Maybe I miss something. If you want to learn more about the timeline in a cpvc project have a look at a recent blog post:

Are you talking about the timeline window? If so, select the "Window" tab at the top of the screen and then select "Timeline" from the drop-down menu. The timeline should show up again.

Justenuf:  YES! That works to display timeline. I must have unclicked it earlier.  and since I had just clicked "hide" I wondered if that was it. But HIDE is greyed in CPVC videos, my mistake. THANKS.

For Lilybiri: yes screen shot helps.

Next problem is in editing the audio and video don't synch anymore. A new problem. Did I disconnect them accidentally?  Showing my timeline.  I only see VIDEO, isn't AUDO supposed to display with the actually picture of the audio feed. It used to.

Hide is not greyed out, I posted a screenshot while the slide was hidden, but the Timeline panel remained visible as were all ther panels and bars/menu. The editor was not 'gone' at all, just the slide hidden.

In a Video TImeline panel, the audio and the video are in one track. In the link I posted in my previous answer, all details of the timeline in a cpvc project are explained. In a cptx project there is a separate audio track, never in a CPVC-project.
