Why are my YouTube login credentials not accepted by Captivate?

Guest

I am trying to publish my Captivate project as a video on YouTube.

A popup screen appears asking for my YouTube username and password, but when entered I am told that "Login failed. Specify the correct username and password, and try again."
The same login works fine when used directly on YouTube.

Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Can you launch Captivate in admin mode and try publishing it again to Youtube. (Right Click -- Run as Admin)

Also, if it still fails, Copy your slides over to a new project of same resolution publish it again.

I am having the same issue, but when I try right-clicking on Captivate to open it, I don't have the option to run as an administrator.  I can choose "Current User," or "The following user," which is the name of my computer.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

It seems that the group policy setup in your organization has set this option disabled for all users. You may want to check with your IT team for this.

You may also try right-click on Captivate > Properties > Compatibility > and then check the option "Run this program as an Administrator".

Regards,

Sharad

Thanks for your help.  Apparently, I am not set up to run as an administrator.

I do not have local admin rights.  However, I am able to publish to one youtube account but not another.  Are there any particular Youtube settings that I need to configure?  I do not see any obvious differences in youtube/google account settings between the two accounts that would allow publishing to one account but not the other.
