Why do my letters keep disappearing when I open my project? (Captivate 9)

When I opened the project I've been creating in Captivate 9, all the fonts/letters were missing from objects. When I click the object, they come back. I went through and had to click EVERYTHING with letters, in all their states, to bring the letters back and then saved it. When I opened it again, the letters were all gone again. How can I prevent this glitch from occurring every time?

Do you use the latest version 9.0.2.437?

Yeah, I'm on the newest version. I've actually experienced this on another project as well. Both started out well, but eventually came to a point where they glitched up like this. The real bummer is that I also have to open the state view of buttons because if I only click it, just the letters on the normal view come back, but not the rollover or pressed views. If I save and reopen, all the letters are gone again. If I publish with the letters visible, it publishes with them visible, though.

Hope that helps!

Nick

Some other users reported this as well. When you installed the latest patch, did you follow the release notes: clean the Preferences and delete some public folders (if you are on Win)? It looks like a corrupted theme: do you use one of the included theme or are you talking about a custom theme?

Hmmm... cleaning the preferences may do it. I'll have to explore how to do that. We use a custom theme to fit our company branding.

Look in the subfolder 'utils' of the installation folder for

CleanPreferences file to run.

You might also try clearing your Project Cache using the Clear Cache button in Preferences.  Some weird issues occur when that cache folder gets overfull.
