I've had issues with the alignment of the Youtube Widget in the center of the presentation in Captivate 9. It looks as though it's aligned in the presentation correctly but when you preview and even publish the files it shows the widget a little off centered. This makes it extremely difficult to make the video look good and in line with other things on the same slide. It's harder to notice on large screens if you have lots of white space on each side of the video, but the smaller the screen size the more noticeable it becomes. Like i said it's not a huge difference, but only a few pixels off. But i can tell and i know my client will be able to as well. I've attached two screenshots below. In the "Edit Mode" image you can see the widget aligned in the center, but in the "Preview Mode" image you can see that it has actually shifted to the right of the frame.
The only work around i've found is to center the video then preview...then adjust the size of the video accordingly, then preview....then adjust the video again, then preview...you get the point. This is an extremely meticulous process and makes it even more challenging when using a mobile template as you have to do this across various screen sizes. I did a screenshare with Adobe support and they couldn't figure it out and said it must be a bug and would get back to me, but i've heard nothing back in 3 weeks and need to finish up these projects. Anyone have advice or have encountered the same problem.
I've already tried to:

Have you tried downloading the latest version of the widget? Perhaps the one you are using is not the current version.

How would i go about finding the most updated version of the widget?

The Interactions are buried down inside this folder:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets\Interactions_8_0
Close down Captivate, delete the interaction file from that folder, and then start Captivate again. It should go and look for the latest version of the interaction to download. Make sure you are connected to the internet and have full Administrator rights to your computer, and you are not going to be blocked by any corporate firewalls when you do this. Otherwise it won't work.

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried deleting the file and it still did not fix the problem after i reopened captivate 9. I even created a new slide and it still did not align correctly. Any other thoughts?

I'm also using Captivate 9 and am experiencing this same issue. I've tried deleting the file Rod suggested but it didn't fix the issue. Has there been any solution discovered recently for this? Or is it still an unresolved bug?

In the interim it was discovered that Youtube had changed the way it worked with videos and the Youtube interaction widget is no longer the preferred method to display Youtube videos on Captivate. Most developers now seem to have switched over to using the Web Object, which is normally used to display a web page or PDF,
You can insert a Web Object from the Objects button on the Captivate toolbar.

Thanks, Rod. I've been playing around with the Web Object this morning and haven't been able to get it to work so far. I've tried using the YouTube url, the embed code, previewing in a browser, publishing and trying to view in different formats, trying to view in different browsers... no success so far in getting it to display the video. I saw your suggestion regarding global flash settings in another thread (Video using web object option not publishing ) and specifying the output folder as a trusted location didn't change the result for me either. I'm not sure what else to try. Is there something simple that maybe I'm missing?

Try using the SHARE link provided from the Youtube site for that video, and then uploading your content to a web server to test (so that Flash Player Global Security cannot interfere.)

Thanks, Rod. Once I uploaded it to the web server there were no issues.
