Question

change Table of Contents, TOC, scroll bar color

Greetings,

Cp6

It seems that the scroll bar color in all ToC themes is gray and it blends in too well with its scroll track. It's not very Accessible.

Is there a way to change the color of the scroll bar so it stands out more? Can I get into the folder/dir where this scroll bar is 'kept' and replace it with something more Accessible?

Thanks,

k

In case anyone else is searching for how to change the TOC Title color, as I was, until I figured it out, here's how.

Click on the Themes drop down and select Theme Colors. Click on Customize. The Title color in the Theme Colors palette is tied directly to the title in the TOC. However, beware, as this will also change the color of all the titles throughout your course.

@master... That is NOT a good idea. Changing the color of the TOC title text has its proper settings. Look at this screenshot from the dialog box you can open with Info button in the TOC dialog box:

If you change any default object style, you have of course consequences for all objects using that style. Maybe this article could help you see what is included in a Theme, and another about Theme colors:

I agree.

There have been a number of people in my organisation who have not been able to see the scroll bar, whether it's their age, in a hurry, etc . . .

Thanks Rezu for bringing this up, and I will definitly be voting for the ability of the scroll bar color to change.

Maybe it can be attached to the TOC background color

Hi Vishu#13,

Thanks for the info.

That's too bad. I would argue that the ToC's gray slider on gray track is not Accessible for both visually impaired and typical vision users. (I have a hard time seeing the slider and my eyes are 'fine'.) If the grays were more contrasting in color, it wold be fine, but they're almost the same shade of gray....scroll bar rgb=225...scroll track rgb=235. At least make them contrasting grays 150 vs. 235.

There's no highlight when the scroll is rolled over. There's nothing done to make this scroll stand out.

Being able to customize its color should be added to the next v7.

Are you a Cp dev? Can you make this recommendation? Why are the colors so close to begin with?

Thanks,

k
