Closed Captions bug - causing Captivate to Crash During Publish

I have been trying to publish one of my lessons and every time I did, Captivate would crash during the “Generating Slides” phase of publishing.

I did a lot of deleting of content and hiding slides until I came to looking at the problem slide and its Closed Caption text:

Note the bullets in the CC text. Once I removed them, the lesson published successfully.

ISSUE: Captivate crashes during publish.

POSSIBLE CAUSE: Bullets or other special characters in the closed caption text.

FIX: Remove special characters.
