Question

Converting AVI to FLV or F4V

Using Captivate 5.

I have an AVI file that has video and audio.

When I tried to insert it into my Captivate presentation, a message appeared that it needed to be converted using Adobe Media Encoder. I went ahead and let the encoder do the conversion. It worked fine, except that the audio has completely vanished. I have Audio turned on in Preferences.

I hope that someone knows about conversions and can help with this problem.

It's been a while - did you ever get this issue resolved?

Eric,

The issue has not been resolved. Since no one has made any suggestions, perhaps it can't be accomplished.

Depending on the source of the AVI the sound can be encoded (with a codec such as AC3, Vorbis OGG, etc). Try to convert it to MPEG and then back to FLV.

Oh and by the way, remember to generate an FLV that runs at 30fps if you are going to embed it into Captivate or the sound and video will be desynchronized!
