I need to develop a training module for a software application on a cell phone.  Can someone(s) suggest how I might accomplish this using Captivate?

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Roger

    Hello,

There are a lot of cell phones available, and that makes the answer not that easy.

If you have the eLearning Suite, the application Device Central is available to you, from which you can design a Captivate project and simulate the output on different smartphones. All depends more specifically on which Flash player can be used on the phone (lite or full) and you'll have to create special output for those fruit phones that do not support Flash.

Another question: will those be pure video or interactive movies?

When re-reading your question, perhaps I misunderstood: you want to create a training about an application that runs on a phone, is that the question. Sorry for the confusion, should be more attentive. Cannot give you an answer immedately to that question, sorry

    Afternoon Lilybiri.

Yes the question is how to create a module for an app. The training would be accessed on a laptop/desktop, but would train on the smart phone app. Any thoughts would be appreciated

    Hello Roger,

If you have a Desktop version of that application, then you can easily do simulations using that. I've also heard of screen capture utilities for the cell phones (Can't remember of the head ) and take those screenshots into captivate to create a learning content.

    Thanks,
