How to prevent/stop overlapping audio ?

Working with Captivate 4.

I have text to speech narration on each of my slides. If it is a question slide, then I have also added audio to the success and failure feedback captions when they answer the question.  If they answer the question before the main slide audio has finished playing, you end up with two voices playing at the same time.

Does anyone know of a way to stop the main slide audio when they hit the question Submit button, so that I just hear the success or failure caption?

What I have done for my quizzes is:

  • Quiz slide: no feedback on the slide but branching to a correct or incorrect feedback slide with attached audio. That way I avoid overlapping. I have three slides instead of one, that's the only issue.

I have the same issue. Also between question slides. The Success/

Fail audio continues to play on top of the new question audio.

You could try to apply a fadedzoomin effect to the submit button that delays its appearence until the end of your audio on the question slide.  Set the intial alpha to 0% and final to 100%.
