Imported Powerpoint Slide is Black

I imported Powerpoint slides into Captivate 3. One of the slides is Captivate 3 shows as black and does not show the text and image from the original Powerpoint slide. I went back to Powerpoint and checked and the slide looks okay with no problem - it also runs well as a slide show in Powerpoint. I then imported the slide again into Captivate, but it still shows as a completely black slide. Any idea on what could cause this and how I can fix it? Thanks.

If the Ppt slide is animated and you imported it as animation, then it may appear black. However, when you preview the movie, you will see it as it is. If you import the Ppt as background image, then you will see the slide in the working view.

Hi,
Does the slide look black even after publishing the project? Or is it black only in the Captivate project edit stage area? Do you have any specific transition set for the slide. If yes, please change the transition and try importing again.

Hi there

While I'm at a loss to explain why it is happening, you might try screen capturing the slide and inserting the screen captured image into Captivate.

Just a thought... Rick
