I have misplaced a Flash published file with Captivate 4. I have the .exe file. Is it possible to convert the exe. (Media) file back to Flash?

Brickyard, I don't know of any way to do this with Captivate; however, I just googled "exe to Flash" and found this video conversion site:  http://www.flashkeeper.com/fk/swf2exe.htm

There may be other converters.  I haven't done a wacky conversion for a while so can't vouch for it, but 'nothing ventured, nothing gained.'

I know I am wrong, but it looks like a Flash file created with the Flash Application is DIFFERENT than a Flash (.swf) file created in Captivate 4.

Nope.  You're right.  Flash development files are FLA; published files are SWF.  I have no idea what might happen if you convert EXE to FLA to SWF.  I try to exhaust all weird alternatives before I start rebuilding Captivate files!  --Leslie
