multiple click boxes on one slide

To assess skills I have included on several slides more than one click boxes, as there are many ways to come to the same results (I am creating software simulations). I want to report on it but found out, that you then fail as you can not click on all the available boxes. Is it somehow possible to indicate that the step is correct if one of the two click boxes are ticked?

Otherwise I have to manipulate the results but it is for the user kind of weird to see that he had every step correct but still only 50 point out of the 100!

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Helga

Hi Helga and welcome to the Captivate forums!

Unfortunately, what you've seen is as good as it gets. By adding two click boxes, you guarantee that at least one is "failed" at any given time. There's no way to specify that more than one option is acceptable.

The idea of assigning points is a smart workaround, but the discrepancy in achievable points is indeed confusing to the user when the Quiz Summary page is used in a project.

When I'm faced with this issue in a project where the Quiz Summary slide is used, I score neither interaction and let the slide serve simply to educate the user. I'd rather live with not knowing how they did on that slide rather than try to explain why they can never get 100%.

For the future, I suggest submitting a feature request to Adobe for the next version of Captivate. Something like a "multiple interaction slide", where any one of the interactions on a slide can be considered correct.
