Quiz stuck in review mode

Hi, I have a quiz loaded as a SCORM module in Moodle and have encountered problems where the quiz is getting 'stuck' in review mode.

The quiz is set up to allow review with infinite attempts.  I have created a slide after the standard quiz end slide that contains a smart shape labelled retake quiz, which redirects them back to the start of the quiz to take it again.  This allows learners to review the quiz if they wish, and then retake the quiz once the quiz retake button has disappeared.  However, for some learners, the quiz seems to get stuck in review mode, even after they click the retake quiz smart shape.  They are redirected back to the beginning of teh quiz as expected, but are unable to complete any questions.  Deleting their attempt seems to be the only way to unlock the quiz for them.

I'd appreciate any help for how to solve this issue.

If you are messing up the way Quiz are designed in Captivate, you end up with this kind of problems. Design is that you cannot Retake a quiz after you did a Review. I'm very sorry that you don't like that but adding custom shape buttons will not change the internal work flow at all. You'll have to create a quiz made with custom questions if you want that type of control.

Hi.  Thanks for you reply. Would you be able to help me understand this better?  I've followed some of the suggestions in the forum that suggest that creating a smart shape on a page after the quiz summary page (which jumps to the beginning of the quiz) will reset the quiz workflow.  This seems to work 95% of the time.  It seems strange that it wouldn't be a permanent problem if it is not possible to work around the quiz workflow.

I never did see in the forum what you mention there, and I'm around all the time??? There is no way a shape can reset a quiz, the only way is to use the Retake button and that means having multiple attempts on Quiz level. Those attempts are thrown away when you use Review.
