    Hi Vikojh,

Please go to this link to find our support number : http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/

You can reinstall the product by inserting the disc and then run the 'setup.exe' (windows) or 'setup.app' (Mac).

Once the setup is launched, it will ask for the serial number and will install the product.

if you need any more assistance, please provide us your email ID, we will contact you and will help you with the installation.

Please do not download the Trial from our website, as trials is for latest version i.e. Captivate 5.5 which will not accept your serial number for Captivate 4. And also if you install Captivate 5.5 trial and then work with your projects, then those projects will not open with Captivate 4.

Hi Thanks fot all the help Aditya. After chatting with 3-4 of your customer support representatives(a couple who were completely useless/unhelpful) we were able to install our Adobe Captivate 4 again through the LWS site.

We now plan to get Adobe Captivate 5.5 Month to Month Subscription for $29. Would our existing Adobe Captivate 4 projects open smoothly in Adobe Captivate 5.5.??

If you're saying that you've just installed a new operating system then your old Captivate installation is probably wiped.

You'll need to locate your original installation disc, or else the downloaded install files (even a trial version install file would be fine).

Did you think to Deactivate the license before you installed the new operating system?  If not, you may find that when you DO try to input the old license key, it will be rejected because the Adobe licensing server thinks someone else is supposed to be using it.  Then you need to phone Adobe Support and explain the issue to them.  They'll usually give you a new licensing key to use after deactivating your old one.

    Adobe Support is not answering.

You mean to say we should install a trial version first?

and then input our licencse key?

A trial version of Captivate is fully functional. It's usually limited to 30 days.

What I'm saying is that if you haven't got your original install disk, then a trial version download file might be easier to find.  It'll at least give you 30 days to sort things out.

Either way, the real test will come when you try to input your license key.  If you did not deactivate the old one first, you may have issues and need Adobe Support to help you.
