is there a way to disable/pause a smartshape?

If you have the option 'Use as Button' checked in the Properties panel of the shape, it becomes a shape button which can be disabled. Each button can have a pausing point as well. That option 'Pause after...' in the Timing properties is even checked by default and set at 1.5secs.  Exactly like any other type of button.
