If your question hasn't been answered, then it hasn't been understood ...

If you mean "Can I create a product in English, then click a button to convert the entire thing into Italian?", no it can't be done - there is no "automatic conversion" feature to go from one language to another.

If you mean (by "Manually") "Can I type in text-captions in another language and know they will show up properly?", the answer is "Yes", so long as your keyboard supports the characters required for those other languages, and you are capable of typing and communicating in that other language.

I've already given you those answers, so if you still feel your questions hasn't been answered, try posting a better word-picture of exactly what you want because I was sure I had completely answered your question earlier, but obviously not.

Thank you very much, that was the answer I was looking for. Sorry I didn't fully understand previously and that my question wasn't more to the point the first time around.

    Again thank you very much.

Again thank you wanted to apologize as you did answer the question earlier on but I focused on the localization due to my conversation with the Adobe representative and trying to establish what can and cannot be done with languages. This was an error on my end of not fully paying attention to your response.

How many (written) languages are you fluent in, and which ones??

    I personally am only fluent in English, the languages that will need to be implemented are below. I am trying to establish whether Captivate 2 has the capabilities to produce the same training video but in the following Languages;
    English
    French
    German
    Italian
    Finnish
    Dutch
    Swedish
    Danish
    Flemish (Belgium)
    Spanish
    Norwegian
    Portuguese
    Japanese
    Chinese (Traditional and Simplified)

If it can be completed manually that's great, however I've been trying to find out for sure today to no avail. I even tried calling adobe customer service, but they didn't give me a straight answer and I'm waiting to hear back.

Yes, the reference is to auto-text-captions as I understand it. I would imagine that if you have a keyboard for any language and don't need auto-text-captions, there is no language that can't be made to work to produce Captivate output.

Do keep in mind that "language" as opposed to "localization" (or localized version) is a different bear entirely. The localized versions use the "local" language in text-menus and for the Help application. Captivate works the same, but those items are in the local version ... many Finns probably have problems reading Chinese, so having one of the Chinese localizations would do them very little good.

HTH ... (and makes sense to you)

Is the localization limited to the supported languages sorry if that's already answered. I'm new to trying additional languages, as I've currently done lessons in English.

Thank you very much, this is what I found on that link

Adobe Captivate supports Unicode and is available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish editions. All editions have a completely localized user interface and documentation. The AutoText Captions feature can automatically generate caption text in English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Spanish, and Swedish.

Does this refer only to the auto text captions only? or can other languages such as Finnish be used and published manually?

As I did a test with Finnish and everything seemed to work so I'm not fully understanding what the support is limiting.
