Typing asterisk-protected password characters in software simulation.

I'm doing a software simulation in Captivate 6, one portion of which involves typing a user ID, and then an asterisk-protected password. The recording shows the user ID being typed character by character. However, the asterisks in the password field do not display character by character, but in a single shot. Meanwhile the audio outputs the typing for the password character by character.
Am I doing somethingwrong?

Most of the time software simulation takes screenshots of the screen and when Captivate determines dynamic changes on the screen - starts to record video part. (that's pretty nice thing to reduce output video size)
I don't really know, what the triggers to start video recording are (scrolling, typing or something like that), but it works not always properly. I had some troubles, while software simulation of Virtual Machine (Captivate didn't record dynamic actions in about 50% chance or even more). I think, it doesn't matter if it's asterisk field or not, but you always have the opportunity to re-record password typing part.

Hello Mihali,
Which version of Captivate are you using? While capturing the simulations, captivate would switch to FMR (Full-Motion-Recording) mode while doing actions like drag-n-drop, draw, move the objects around, click and drag etc.
If you are observing this behavior please let me know.
Thanks,
Vish

This was version 6.0. And speaking of typing sometimes it was recorded successfull (with video of typing process), sometimes like screenshots, sometimes not recorded at all (if i haven't click intentionally to force Captivate to make screenshot). I know, that captivate hardly can iterate with VM, but sure it can determine, when i'm typing something.
Btw, i hardly can undrestand your excuses about security reasons. Noone asks captivate to remember keys, that are pressed. Why not just record the screen while typing?

Hello Mihali,
Are you doing Software simulation or Video Demo? What kind of application are you capturing? Is it Desktop or web application? If you are getting this issue of missing steps while capturing, I would like to see the issue by doing a remote connect session. Is it fine with you? If so, please e-mail viswanat@adobe.com
Regarding capturing passwords, can you please email wish-captivate@macromedia.com with your suggestions?
Thanks,
Vish

That was software simulation, i captured part of screen or VMware application (you know, that was separate projects).
For security reasons i'm not allowed to gain remote access to anyone. I can capture the project, if you want, and send somewhere or collect logs you need.
That's not a suggestion. If your realization can't achieve the intended goal so you have to use "security reasons" as excuse... That's yours developers decision, don't think i should teach you what is security flaw and what isn't.
EDIT: i updated to 6.0.1 and made a simple demo: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/71356807/demo.cptx
Captivate haven't record typing process. The same thing is with fields and other stuff in VM. I think it should turn FMR on and record the typing process with console output of VM.

Hello Mihali,
Sure, you can send the recording to me, may be share it through acrobat.com or any other file sharing places. Please send me an email to viswanat@adobe.com as well.
Thanks,
Vish

Hello Tom,
This is done for the security reasons. Captivate captures every key stroke and there is a possibility to know the keys pressed if we do this. What you could do is to create a text animation involving the asterics and place it on the slide. Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Vish
