Character Animator issue "Selected camera is unavailable".

Greetings,

I've been attempting to use my Camera with Character Animator but I get an error message "Windows error The remote Procedure Call failed and did not execute" and the message "Selected camera is unavailable" will be displayed in the Camera & Microphone panel.

I've tried two different cameras (a USB camera and the built-in HP camera on my Laptop) and none work (toggling between both will result in the "Procedure Call failed" prompt).

The camera works in other applications (Zoom, Teams, etc.) but not within Character Animator.

I've also followed some of the steps in another post from 2020 and no luck.

I am on Windows 10 and using the latest version of Character Animator..

Any suggestions?

I have had a similar problem - the camera works in other applications, but the camera disappears after the first use. Only rebooting the system will get the camera working again - for one session. I would definitely like to find a better solution.

Tried rebooting and no luck 😞

I've not gotten it to work at all (been at this for a few days).
