I have used Character Animator in the past with no problems, but it has been about 6 months. Now whenever I load a project I get a message in the camera panel that says "waiting for camera". I have confirmed through the microsoft camera app that the camera is working.

Any ideas?

Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open Character Animator and try to use camera.

Result: "waiting for camera"
Expected: facial recognition

System info
    Application: Character Animator v25.0.0.46
OS: Windows v10.0.22631, RAM: 7.86 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 12

I have the same problem.

I am using Windows 11 and the 2025 version of the program, but it doesn't seem to properly load the camera. When I check my camera usage in system settings, Character Animator seems to be the only program using it. Whenever I click off the camera symbol in CA, and they turn it right back on, a black screen with some text pops up for like a millisecond, indicating there was a short connection with the camera. Other apps work fine with the integrated camera.

Hopefully we will get a reaction of the devs.
