Hi this is my first time using character animator and I can't get the right eye on my puppet to work. The left one works fine, and as far as I can tell they should be exactly the same.
It almost seems like the right eye is moving around the left, and decreasing the camera strength just makes the radius smaller
Please let me know what I've done wrong or if there's a way to fix it!
Thanks so much for your help! I managed to find my stray tag, the right pupil size tag had somehow managed to get on the main group holding all my layers/other groups
Also thanks for the suggestions on how to get the eye to move better I really appreciate it!!

Hi Default,
It is difficult to gauge what the problem is. It could be in the rigging and/or how the puppet layers are constructed. Could I suggest that you post a detailed image/photo of your rigging of the eyes.

My problem looks similar to the 'crazy eyes' one mentioned in the article but there the issue was stray pixels on the layer but I have checked my layers and I'm pretty sure that that's not the issue here. Just a bit confused because each of the eyes are flipped copies of each other and have the same tags (but for corresponding left/right) but only one is working

It is better to use "Export Puppet" from the menu in CH to get all the rigging shared as well. I loaded the PSD file up using default settings in CH and a few things are weird.
I am not getting the eyeball flying off in weird directions like your video. But blinking makes the eyes go completely white (which I doubt is what you are after) and the eyeballs do move too far with "Snap Eye Gaze" on....
Oh, I had the Mouse & Touch input on as well as Camera Input. I think that got it confused. It goes better with just eye gaze.
I turned off "Snap Eye Gaze" in the "Eye Gaze" behavor - that allows proportional movements (but the eyes can jitter as a result). I also put "Mouse & Touch Input" on and turned off "Camera Input". You can then use the mouse clicking in the scene to drag around the eyes with finer control. It basically worked for me from the PSD file.
Can you export the puppet file? I am wondering if a stray tag got in there somewhere. It basically seems to work for me importing the PSD file alone.

I should add the eyes are not moving equal distances to the left and right. I think that is because the Left/Right Pupil Range and L/R Pupil have different centers. This is because the eyeball is the pupil range, but the pupil is not in the middle of the eyeball (its towards the outer edge). This results in the pupil being able to move more one direction than the other. You can create a "Left Pupil Range" layer of your own (don't use eyeball) and then hide it (as in the blog post). You can then center the pupil range on the pupil if you want the pupil to move evenly both directions.
Also the blink problem I mentioned is because the PSD file alone was not putting a Cycle Layers behavior on the blink (that would be fixed by exporting the puppet from in CH instead). So I think you can ignore my previous comment on blinking.
