Templates and generative ai (CH Animator)

Problem statement:

In order to make the walk pose or head turner to work in Adobe Character Animator, I would need to draw artwork (Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Fresco or Adobe Illustrator) for multiple poses, which is where I struggle because I'm not a good artist.

My Idea:

Generative Ai - my idea is that just like how in Microsoft PowerPoint when you add text or shapes to the page, it will suggest layouts (see Create professional slide layouts with Designer), this option (to automatically suggest or guide design based on what user has currently drawn) would also be helpful when creating artwork for Adobe Character Animator.

Idea 2 - use Generative Ai to suggest outline of where body parts should be drawn.

Idea 3 - use Generative Ai to show guidelines for (adobe photoshop, adobe illustrator) for where I should be drawing my artwork within when making artwork for poses in a walk cycle.

I submitted the idea above, and wish to clarify.

My understanding of the value of generative ai during the art creation process is its ability to create templates. Feature request is to

  • Assist artists during their creation of head turner or walk pose artwork
  • Use generative ai to suggest outline or ruler / guidelines for a body part should be drawn so that
  • when import artwork into CH Animator the rigging alignment is more automatic (prepare artwork in CH animator documentation) (just saw Auto-Swap feature, something like this but during the drawing process would be great, I'm thinking how many times have I incorrectly placed a eye or nose when doing side profile head turner artwork,)

The great thing about CH animator is that it does not have to be a 2-legged character 'person', which the rigging process is built fo. So this request I understand is difficult, but anything that can be done to assist here would be great.

I recently found out about another tool, that made me think of my post here: https://sketch.metademolab.com/

because while it doesn't show the frame-by-frame , it could be helpful as a previewer for my own artwork. I have not tried that site, but the idea for it looks helpful.

I know it's not quite what you're looking for, but you might find this video about using Gen AI in photoshop to build a puppet enlightening: Making Animated Characters with AI Art (Adobe Character Animator Tutorial) - YouTube
