Can you tie the polling pod to a specific piece of content?

No, poll pods are specific for the meeting room they are in.  When you "close" a poll pod, the data is sent back to the server and stored for that session.  If you "open" the pod again, it will create a new set of data.

If you want the result tied to a specific piece of content, you are better off putting a Quiz in that content (assuming your content is either an Adobe Presenter presentation or a Captivate demo).  If the content is something static (PDF or Video), I'd suggest create a separate quiz (with Presenter or Captivate) that you present to your attendees after they've viewed the content.
