Download recorded meeting into single file.

Hi,

I'm using the feature of Adobe Connect that lets me download a recorded meeting into ZIP format.  The ZIP file contains a bunch of files, but most interesting are the main FLV file for the video and a separate MP3 file for the audio.

I want to be able to package up both the video and the audio into a single file, ideally in a form that I can convert to something I can put onto a hand held device like an iPod.

Is it possible to choose a download format other than ZIP that will return, say, a single FLV file containing audio?  Or some other format?  If not, can anybody recommend a method for combining the audioless FLV with the MP3 and for converting the result into something playable on iPod devices?

This is for people still looking for an answer. If you are starting with long form URL, like:

https://XXXXXX.adobeconnect.com/a1b2c3d4e5/?launcher=false&fcsContent=true&pbMode=normal

then trim it down until it looks like:

https://XXXXXX.adobeconnect.com/a1b2c3d4e5/

(this is the URL you usually send to people to send them to your video) Now append the following to the shortened URL:

output/filename.zip?download=zip

...making our example above:

https://XXXXXX.adobeconnect.com/a1b2c3d4e5/output/filename.zip?download=zip

I want to have the class in a single format that can be played offline, not in multiple confusing files.

    Here's another option. Handy if you just want to get the audio and video files to edit or archive.

    The "Make Offline" function should give you a single offline FLV file.

    Under recordings, select the recording infos and there you should have a button labelled "Make Offline".

    Hi Kay,

    That's fine if I'm trying to download one of my own recordings.  But is there a way for me to make this FLV available to other people wishing to download a meeting I hosted?  For example, the URL method workds for a ZIP file.  Is there anything equivalent for single FLV?

    No, you would need to post the FLV to a shared room or share pod or other file sharing method.
