Participants Can't See My Screen Share in My Seminar Room

My production team for an upcoming webinar using Connect Seminars was meeting and I tried to share my screen with them to review our project on our web-based project management tool. Even though my host view and mini control indicated I was sharing the correct window from Chrome, my team was only seeing the gray cross-hatched screen of death.

I have tried several solutions without success. Any ideas?

Were you:

A) On a computer with multiple monitors?

B) Using Window or Application mode to share your web browser on your second monitor?

The Window or Application sharing mode only works on your primary monitor, and if you have the application on the second monitor, then just occludes the contents of the primary monitor. Not sure why these modes won't work on the second monitor, but there you go.

The easy solution is to just share your Desktop (If available) and choose your second monitor. Since there is better control of what shows on that monitor, no popups from IM or email applications, you shouldn't have much of a security risk. If you want to be 100% sure you don't accidently share something you shouldn't, close all the applications you don't want anyone to see.

Not using a second monitor.

Have tried Window, Application, and Desktop, all to no avail.

Will test again trying some things later today.

I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the Add-in. Maybe there is something corrupted in the Add-in causing the issue.

Do you have an alternate computer that you can try sharing the screen on? That will help identify if the issue is isolated to this computer.
