Adobe is discontinuing file syncing! What are we supposed to do instead?

Adobe is discontinuing file syncing!

What are we supposed to do instead?

I use this feature ALL THE TIME. It has been great!

I am so sad it is going away. The only supported files on the Files section of the Creative Cloud are Cloud formats! SO BAD!

What are you all doing to work remotely? 

This will be such a time suck.

I've never assumed the Adobe CC cloud storage was really meant for anything other than CC stuff assets. Mogrts, Look files, naturally the Team Projects files that are 'built' to be out there. That sort of thing. And have always been puzzled by those trying to use it for other things.

Dropbox and the Creative Cloud Files folder are virtually identical services—I use both. You can sync almost any file type—the only limitation with CC is file naming, where certain characters are not allowed. They both work quite well as an automatic, incremental cloud backup for live work—and, if used correctly, as a collaboration tool.

File sync’ing is like any other feature nobody is going to post unless they are having problems—we would never hear from the happy users.

Too much malarkey drama and no substantative posts based on facts.

Just goes to show that some folks have way too much empty time on their hands and no real understanding of what Automatic File Sync actually means.  It boggles the mind.

and prior to adobe's announcement, the only posts about adobe sync were complaints.  you'd think some of the people mourning its discontinuation would have added something positive to counter the complaints.

oh well.

Oh puh-leeez!

Q: What does automatic sync between your Creative Cloud Files folder & your Cloud Storage space have to do with Dreamweaver? 

A: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

You can still save Creative Cloud Files manually to your Cloud Storage if desired.

You still have the same Cloud Storage capacity.  

What's the big tragedy? 

Please explain why you're SO UNHAPPY.
