Coresync continuously exchanging data with amazonaws

Advisor ,

Hi,

I have disabled Adobe CC Sync and auto-update for all applications. Nevertheless, Coresync.exe is continuously exchanging data with Adobe servers on amazonaws (every 40 sec. exactly).

Why ? Shouldn't it be quiet ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Coresync.exe is clean. It seems that it is no longer launched upon system startup after having disabled the Sync option in Acrobat. I was not aware that coresync.exe is also used by Acrobat. So, problem solved, apparently.

Please also state your operating system version and the CC version.

Based on what you've described, if you were able to stop file syncing from the CC, and the coresync.exe is still active, you may need to also stop, quit or pause file sync from the Amazon WorkDocs Drive settings.

Please refer to the Amazon AWS User Guide :

Hi ls-rbls,

I'm running windows 10 Pro and the latest CC version.

quotequit or pause file sync from the Amazon WorkDocs Drive settings.

??? I'm talking about Adobe's servers hosted by Amazon. I don't have anything stored on any Amazon service.

I misunderstood, apologies.

Were you able to figure this out?

I was wondering that if coresync.exe keeps acting out that  you may consider treating it as if it is a malicious program.

Usually, coresync.exe is associated with a the Acrobat' Document Cloud product activation service.

And if that isbthe case, You may use this guidance:

But, just for additional troubleshooting purposes, you can analyze and compare what exactly that coresync.exe is trying to communicate with when your computer is completely  offline and when it's back online.

Open the command prompt, and  review an instance of your Ethernet network's netwroking status by using the netstat command with the following options (or flags) :

netstat -ano

-a will list all active connections with IP addresses

-n will list those open connections or ports numerically

-o will list all open ports (or sockets)

Then you can determine with the Task Manager what program is coresync.exe trying to communicate to outside of your Ethernet network.

Another technique is to block this service completely through the operating system's firewall and observe if by blocking it any other unwanted issues pop out of nowhere or it stays quiet.

Or,

If you suspect or determine that the process is not legitimate, and that it could be a malicious executable program,  You may also modify the hosts file and assign an internal loop address of 127.0.0.1 to it until you can scan that file safely (while remaining offline) with a good antivrius/antimalware software.

Thanks anyway.
