To further investigate this, could you please share the Creative Cloud logs using Log collector tool. Also, could you open Console on your Macbook and check for any crash reports of Setup OR Adobe Desktop Service?

We're sorry to hear about your difficulties. In addition to the suggestion shared by @Ruchika Wadhawan. Could you please let us know if you are on a wired or Wifi connection? Did you try switching the network to check if that helps? Did you try restarting the device? You may try using these keyboard shortcuts to force the app to close and restart itself and all associated processes: MacOS: command+option+R.
