I just discovered that Adobe has removed the fonts Franklin Gothic URW Demi and Franklin Gothic URW Demi Italic from their themes in Adobe Portfolio.
Honestly, it’s very frustrating to work with a service that not only feels neglected by Adobe but also seems to be getting dismantled. I suppose it’s time to look for an alternative, as they’re probably investing everything in Behance Pro… it’s a shame.

Adobe has removed courier standard too so if i try to save some change in my portfolio everything will be in courier bold. Changing the font for the whole site doesn't fix the issue. I agree, it's really a shame

This has nothing to do with Portfolio and everything to do with Adobe Fonts.

Fonts are subject to the whims of the font creator or foundry who gives Adobe permission to use them. It's their font, they decide how it can be used.

Hope that helps.

Courier std is made by Adobe but now they provide only Bold and Bold Oblique versions. I don't know why they now don't allow their users to user their Regular version.
Changing the font for the whole site indeed doesn't change font styles so now i have to change every text from bold to regular, one by one

At this moment, FranklinGothic URW Demi still available in Adobe Fonts, that means it has been removed EXCLUSIVELY from Adobe Portfolio. That is, an Adobe choice. All other fonts in the same family are still available in Adobe Portfolio, that seems to me to exclude usage rights issues.

That is an Adobe choice.

Uh.... no. If you read the link I posted above, it describes how to ADD Adobe Fonts from your MY FONTS folder. That's assuming you decide to add FranklilnGothic to your MY FONTS folder and make it ACTIVELY available to your web projects.

Hi Nancy....
I don’t quite understand what you’re saying… You cannot enable or disable the available fonts in Adobe Portfolio. These fonts are provided on the server side so that all users can view them exactly as defined in the Adobe Portfolio theme. You can activate as many fonts as you want in your “My Fonts,” but this has nothing to do with Adobe Portfolio… You also cannot embed HTML code in Adobe Portfolio, as far as I know.

With Adobe Portfolio you have access to thousands of Adobe Fonts. When you start with a theme, the fonts for that theme will be loaded. See screenshots.

I’ve been using the Andreas theme for years. This theme uses the FranklinGothic URW family. A few days ago, Adobe removed the FranklinGothic URW DEMI and Franklin Gothic URW Demi Italic version from the theme.
If I access Adobe Fonts from the theme settings, all versions of the font are available except for Demi and Demi Italic.
I’m attaching a screenshot to explain myself better. It’s in Spanish, but it can be easily translated:
"Important changes in Adobe Fonts. The following font variations used on your site have been removed from the Adobe Fonts service: Franklin Gothic URW Demi, Franklin Gothic URW Demi Italic."

Same problem. Font Quasimoda has also been removed. Very disappointing.
