Hello,
I've enrolled on the Graphics Design Certificate by Adobe on the Coursera platform, but I have issues signing up for the 4 month free trial of Creative Cloud now when I've gotten to the Graphics Design course that requires Illustrator. I reached out to Coursera but they told me to reach out to Adobe instead, so here I am.
When clicking on the link on Coursera I get directed to an Adobe site where I can sign up for the free trial. When I then sign in with my existing account, it changes from 4 months to 7 days. So I create a new email just to create a new account on Adobe, since it says I can only use this with new accounts. Then it works, until I change payment country from the pre-selected US to my own country (Sweden), then it goes from the 4 months to the 7 days again.
It is quite frustrating since I've had this issue when I tried the other courses in the course package: Issues with longer free trial on Adobe Express and same with Adobe Photoshop. I managed to get the Express trial to work by making a whole new Coursera AND Adobe accounts... And I don't want to do that again. I skipped using Photoshop because I have good knowledge in that already, but I really want to be able to use Illustrator to learn along with the course.

Thanks in advance,
Malin
I am unaware of any 4-month trials to Creative Cloud.
This would have to be a special arrangement between Coursera and Adobe.
Ask Coursera to put you in direct contact with THEIR Adobe representative.

adobe offers 7 day trials. if cousera is promising something else, contact them (and be wary).

I know that the regular trial is 7 days, but this seems to be some sort of extended trial when you sign up for the Adobe Certificate. I tried contacting them about this but they just directed me to Adobe, but I guess I'll try again 🙂 Thanks for the help!

are you paying money to coursera? if yes, it may or may not be legitimate. if not, it's almost certainly not legitimate.

I am yes, the Adobe Certificate is not free. It also seems other learners on Coursera has the same issue. I'm just stuck in a customer service loop right now where Coursera directs me to Adobe support and Adobe (when I contacted them earlier) could not help either, and directed me back to Coursera.

yes, sounds suspicious.

Well, Coursera is a legitimate online learning platform with offices in Mountain View, CA. I've never used them myself, but they have been in business for 10 years.

Thanks for the help Nancy! Yes, it seems it's an extended trial nand agreement between Adobe and Coursera when you sign up for the certificate via Coursera. When I reached out to them before regarding this they just directed me to the Adobe support, with not much other help. I will try again, but it's not easy getting in touch with a representative from their side unfortunately 😕

Escalate it to a Coursera Supervisor.
Good luck.

I’m having the same problem with the 4-month Creative Cloud trial from the Coursera Adobe course.
Did you ever find a solution for it? Just wanted to check if you managed to make it work somehow.

it's common for posters to post something and then never return to respond.
