Hello all , and thank you in advance for whatever help you can provide. I use Mac, primarily, but recently have had the need for new software that runs only on windows. I have used a virtual machine before, but really didnt like it. So, I pulled out a windwos machine that i bought last year and have fired it up. It is never been used.
My first order of business was to install Creative cloud. In doing so, after logging in, the files synced to the machine and have now filled up the memory. This wouldnt be a problem as i typically would be able to move the sync location to an external, but, CC is telling me that it needs to update. When it attempts to update, it says that it cant because there isnt enough hard drive space.
I would now like to remove everything from the PC, and attempt to re install CC and change the sync locaiton at that time, but i am terrified that i am going to delete my files locally, and also off CC. I have 5 years and 90 GB of business related files, which would essentially ruin my existence if they were lost.
Thank you!
Matt

The problem is I cant run CC. It is forcing an update, then the update fails because of lack of space.

on your working computer that has no problem (the mac),
copy your sync'd folder files to another folder. (ie, you'll have those files in a location unrelated to anything adobe). then empty your mac computer's sync folder. (if you want/allow it, your online cc files will be deleted.)
on your problematic computer (the pc),
then empty your pc's sync folder and empty the trash. then update your pc's cc desktop app and suspend syncing asap. check your pc's sync folder to see if any files were sync'd.
if i were you i wouldn't bother to restore/use adobe's sync folder. it's being removed from syncing soon.

I understand your concern about potentially losing your important business-related files while reinstalling Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) and changing the sync location. Please try the following steps and let us know if that helps.
a. Local Backup: Copy all your business-related files to an external hard drive, USB drive, or another computer. Make sure you have a complete copy of your data.
b. Cloud Backup: If your files are already synced with Adobe Creative Cloud, they should be backed up in the cloud. Double-check your cloud storage to ensure all files are synced and up to date.
2. Uninstall the Creative Cloud Desktop app by using the Cleaner tool: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
3. Configure Sync Location: During the installation or when setting up Adobe Creative Cloud, you'll have the option to configure the sync location. Choose the new location where you want your files to be synchronized. Ensure it's a location where you've previously backed up your data.
