Adobe Digital Editions freezes

Hello,

I have a new computer for 6 months now and Adobe Digital Editions does not work on this computer. It freezes and does not open the books I wish to read. Everything worked beautifully on my old computer. To solve the problem, I followed some instructions which I found on the internet. Deauthorizing and authorizing the Adobe Digital Editions for my new computer did not help. I downloaded an older version of it. Still, that did not work. The software freezes and does not close. I cannot open the book(s) I have loaned. I would need it to read research books for my doctoral thesis, so I would be grateful for any help in solving this problem.

Me too is facing similar problem

I am able to download ADE 4.5.11 and install successsfully

Laso created an id (my office e-mail id) and udpated it in the ADE

but whenever I tried opening an e-book, it hangs -> Message-> Not responding

What could be issue and resolution
