i had adobe creative cloud installed and working with photoshop but i uninstalled it, and then a week later i want to use it again but the install process starts but then stops and exits and nothing happens....i have adobe application manager installed and when i open it says: Adobe Creative Cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of Adobe Creative Cloud from 'http://www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudapp'.
i keep downloading and installing but nothing happens.
please help.

uninstall everything cc, clean per Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 and then reinstall the cc desktop app, Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe CC trial
use the desktop app to install your cc programs (like ps).

I have tried this, uninstalled everything adobe from my pc ran the cleaner tool rebooted my pc and still get the same error message
I now do not have Photoshop or any of my cc applications please help,

downloaded and ran Adobe application manager took ages but be patient it worked for me.

I just tried this solution but it doesn´t work.
Not the cleaner or the tutorial works
I receive two messages depending on ......
1) critical error writing system files. or something like that
2) adobe manager cant install

Step 1)
Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
Step 2)
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
Step 3)
Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.

Then navigate to Local>Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.
After following above 3 steps .
Click on the below link and download Creative Cloud setup file .
https://ccmdls.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/KCCC/1/win32/CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe
Copy it from Download folder to C: drive ,
Make sure it is inside C:drive ,
Then double click on it and try to install Adobe Creative Cloud application and check.

You may try below steps.
Press Windows+R button together and you will get a run command window, please type-in %temp% and hit enter.
Delete all contents present inside temp folder.
Right click on Creative Cloud setup file and select ' Run as Administrator ' option and check.
Still same ??? let me know ,
We need to set full permissions to Adobe folder under C: > Program Files(x86) > Common Files.

First we will set the permissions to Adobe folder.
Navigate to C: > Program Files(x86) >Common Files .
Under Common Files folder locate Adobe folder ,.
Right click on Adobe folder and select Properties option.
Uncheck Read only option and click Apply.
If it prompts error ignore all .
Click on Security tab.
Click on Edit button .
Click on user names listed in the Group or User name section.
Then tick the box next to Full Control under Allow .
Provide Full control all user names :
Like SYSTEM, Administrator, Your Current logged in user name , Trusted Installers..etc
All must have Full Control.
Then click Apply and then OK.
If you get any error message while applying privileges , click on ignore all option.

Once you had provided full permission ,
Open Task manager, click on Processes tab, click on Show processes from all users, click on description field to arrange all the Processes in Alphabetical order.
Close all the Adobe related process like AAMupdater, AAMupdater notifier, Adobe Crash demon process from Task manager.
Please also look for process named Creative Cloud,CoreSync, Setup.exe. if present please end the process.
After Ending all Adobe related processes. refer below link and follow the steps mentioned.

You may need to perform clean removal and re installation once.
Also we need to check with Event Viewer log once.
Or We will do one thing , in this case , it will be Ideal to try from Hidden Administrator account .
If you are okay to Enable Hidden Administrator , let me know I will provide you steps.
