Adobe download manager freezes and will not download Flash Player.

I'm trying to upgrade Flash Player.  When I click on the download, it takes me to the Adobe download page, and I click on the "download Now" button.  This downloads a small .exe file to my computer.  I then click on the .exe file and a small window labeled "Adobe Download Manager" opens and freezes right there.  Nothing happens.  I wait and wait and wait.....   It is not showing anything in the window, just a blank window.  After a few minutes, I click on the "X" to close the window, and it closes, and opens Internet Explorer to the Adobe site, but nothing comes up in the Explorer window, just a blank window.

I am running Windows 7Home,  64 bit, with Firefox.  My virus software is Webroot.

In searching online for a solution to the problem, one solution offered was to uninstall my present version of Flash Player.  Using the Control Panel, I did that.  I turned off Webroot, but the same results.  I turned off popup blocker in both Firefox and Internet Explorer, and that doesn't work either.  Have downloaded and tried to install Flash Player five times with the same result... nothing.

  Hope you can help!

  Thanks!

Hi

Please turn off Webroot and Windows Firewall and follow the link below :

Flash Player | Windows 7 | Internet Explorer 64 bit

If it does not help, create new user account and try in that

Create a user account - Windows Help

See if this helps

Thanks
