Don't know why this is happening, but since I installed CC when I reboot my computer or launch CS6 apps for the first time I have to reenter the serial number for CS6. Quite annoying.

Dave C Courtemanche please try entering your Adobe ID next time you are prompted instead of your serial number. This will license your Creative Suite 6 installation with your Creative Cloud membership. You are then free to use your CS6 perpetual license on a different computer if you wish.

The prompt doesn't allow for an Adobe ID. It prompts for the 6 blanks of 4 numbers with the serial. After I enter it, it states I must log in with Adobe ID (although CC is already running and logged in with the correct Adobe ID). I click OK to log in with the ID and it activates CS6 (I don't have to actually enter in the ID - it's already holding it.)

Dave there are a couple different ways which we may be able to solve this then. First you can deactivate your current installation of Creative Suite 6. This should then give you the opportunity to enter your Adobe ID instead of your serial number. You can find details regarding the deactivation process at Activation & deactivation help - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html.
I am concerned though that you continue to be prompted to reactivate after each time you reboot your computer. Thus even if we change the license to Creative Cloud the root cause of the issue may still persist. As an alternative you could try adjusting the file permissions on the parent directories/folders which contain the licensing files. What operating system are you using exactly?
Finally is this computer managed by an I.T. department or on a managed network?

Computer is managed by me. Test driving the CC before I install for whole department (10 users). That's why I'd like to make sure this isn't happening for them.
We're using iMacs running OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Thank you Dave. Please try adjusting the file permissions for the Library/Application Support/Adobe folder. You can find details on how to adjust file permissions at Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html. Please make sure to apply the file permission change to the enclosed items.
I would recommend trying this solution first and then reapply your CS6 license. If you continue to face difficulties with having to relicense CS6 then please try the sign out option which was discussed in message #3.
In general a CS6 perpetual license and Creative Cloud license can coexist on the same system.

Thank you. Will do. I think I did the permissions repair already, but I'll try all the solutions listed here and repost if it's still occuring. Thanks for your assistance.
